I obtained a degree in Massage Therapy from American Institute of Massage Therapy in Pompano Beach, FL. During my 20 plus years as a massage therapist, I have explored the effectiveness of various modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Cranial Sacral and Sports Massage which I now blend into my practice.
I have always led an active lifestyle and started by working as a personal trainer at Bally’s Health and Fitness. I have a passion for helping others to strive and reach their full potential.
Benefits of Massage
The purpose of massage therapy is to improve your health and overall life performance. The goal of massage therapy should be two things according to the two traditions of the East and the West. The first should be to find and get rid of any tension that exists in the muscles when they are not being used. This can be termed Residual Muscular Tension. The second goal, which is actually interrelated, is to find any blockages in the meridians, or subtle energy channels and to unblock those blockages or stagnant channels. These two goals have been the most important aspects of massage since the dawn of massage therapy and it is very important that these are not forgotten otherwise students may not "see the forest for the trees".

-
improve athletic performance
-
relieve pain
-
reduce anxiety
-
release muscle tension
-
increase flexibility
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a gentle full-body massage that’s great for people who:
• are new to massage
• have muscle tension
-
desire gentle healing touch
-
need to ease state of mind
-
have symptoms of arthritis or asthma
-

Trigger Point Massage
Trigger Point Massage focuses on releasing trigger points, which are small, tight knots that develop in muscles that may cause pain in other areas of the body (an effect known as “referral pain”).
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It’s a good option if you have muscle problems, such as:
-
soreness
-
injury
-
imbalance
-
tightness
-
chronic muscle pain
A deep tissue massage provides relief from chronic pain or tight muscles. This massage targets the deeper layers of the muscles to help eliminate restrictions and pain that can occur from overuse or injury. A deep tissue therapeutic massage relieves pain from musculoskeletal issues or repetitive strain. It can provide relief from pain associated with postural problems or help you recover from a sports injury. Deep tissue massage is perfect for athletes or people suffering from chronic pain conditions, such as fibromyalgia. It is also used to treat muscle and tendon injuries, and it can provide relief for stiffness in your joints.
Cupping
Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves suctioning the skin with glass, plastic, or silicone cups. It may help improve blood flow, boost immune function, remove toxins, and reduce pain.
Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.
Myofascial Release
Therapy
Is a type of physical therapy aimed at relieving pain and increasing mobility by releasing tension in the myofascial tissues. These tissues surround and support the muscles throughout the body. The technique involves applying gentle, sustained pressure on areas of the body where the fascia has become tight or restricted, with the goal of easing tension, improving bloodflow, and promoting healing. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and injuries.
