This image means everything to me.
In 2002, as my mother began her fight with pancreatic cancer, we sat together and painted this canvas. Despite the toll of chemotherapy and the exhaustion it brought, she still found the strength to be creative.
That canvas became more than just art, it became a symbol of her courage, grace, and unwavering love.

The hospital had become our second home. The days were long and exhausting, and at times she felt as though she were walking through fire just to reach a moment of feeling “okay.” Yet through it all, she carried herself with strength, dignity, and light.

That’s what I wanted to capture in the painting—her hands, her spirit—reaching through the metaphorical flames, breaking through adversity with courage and hope.

My mother met it all with quiet dignity and an unshakable spirit. She was my greatest teacher, not only in life but in showing me how to meet the hardest moments with resilience and heart.

We painted that canvas together, and it became far more than a memory. It became a tribute, a piece of my soul.

I dedicated my career to her then—and her presence continues to guide me now. Her hands are part of my logo, her essence in every touch, every session, every act of healing I offer. Her legacy lives on through my work.
